Laura Gillingham (Nugent 06), turns words into works of art. Her company, Embellishing the Ordinary aims to capture words in an artistic and unique way – predominantly using the traditional techniques of calligraphy as well as painting, drawing, illustration and design. She kindly illustrated and scribed the programme for the inaugural OS Christmas Carol Concert in December last year.
Laura produces bespoke pieces of art, scribing large scale pieces, from poems to music lyrics. She also designs and scribes wedding invitations, event stationery, signage and branding.
