Nigel Rossiter (Cobham 81)

Nigel writes, “Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital since 2003. Previously surgeon in the Army 1985-2003. Set up Trauma networks for ‘South Central’ in England. Trustee for: Primary Trauma Care Foundation (teaching trauma care in the developing world – photo shows Nigel chairing a course in Uganda) and, for Basingstoke Hoima Partnership for Health (Linking Basingstoke with a hospital in NW Uganda). Trainer of the year in Wessex and twice ‘Inspiring Educator of the Year’ finalist in NHS Shine awards. Listed in Who’s Who and awarded their Hippocrates Award for excellence in field of medicine. Chair of Orthopaedic Trauma education for UK & Ireland: Principles 2006-9 and Advances 2013-7. Founding President Orthopaedic Trauma Society. Married to Sally with four rugby playing sons – three of whom have represented England and Great Britain at various levels.”
