Timothy Kinahan (Temple 71)

Timothy writes, “I am sure that you are all more than well aware of my long-term interest in Ethiopia, and particularly in the work of the Asra Hawariat School. When I returned from my gap-year out there in 1972 I, along with a couple of others, set up a charity in order to support this valuable work. We are now responsible for the entire funding of the School, which means sending out £11,000 every month, which is a huge commitment. The Asra Hawariat School Fund, the charity in question, has just set up a new website www.asrahawariatschool.org A fine essay in international cooperation in that it was constructed free of charge in New Zealand, by an American, for a Northern Ireland based charity that is registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales and works in Ethiopia! Take a look, and let your friends and colleagues know about it. If you feel so inclined, please support us.”
